France Wants Bitcoin Regulation Discussed At G20 Summit

France’s Finance Minister, Bruno Le Maire, is going to push G20 attendees to discuss bitcoin regulation at the coalition’s upcoming summit.

Reuters reports that Bruno Le Maire said in an interview on Sunday that he will ask upcoming G20 president Argentina, to add bitcoin to the discussion agenda for the upcoming gathering in April.

Le Maire was stated:

“I am going to propose to the next G20 president, Argentina, that at the G20 summit in April we have a discussion all together on the question of bitcoin.¬†There is evidently a risk of speculation. We need to consider and examine this and see how … with all the other G20 members we can regulate bitcoin.”

How this will affect bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in the future remains to be seen.
